A look back at 2011
*************** Northeast S.D.A. Church serves the Towson, Parkville and surrounding communities. With a history of one and a half year as a church, the Lord has blessed us tremendously, in spite of not having a building of our own. Currently, we rent limited space to conduct worship and community outreach services. With more space and a building of our own, we will be able to serve our community better.
As a church organization, we are dedicated and driven to help all people in need in our community; especially those facing serious economic hardship. We have helped in supporting non-profit organizations such as, Project Love in Action; an international ministry that meets the medical and spiritual needs of people as far away as Nigeria. Regularly, we minister to the elderly at a local Nursing Home. In addition, on a bi-weekly basis, we minister to the residents at an Adult Day Care, bringing joy and happiness at a time in life when some are feeling forgotten and abandoned. Also, we give personalized food baskets on an ongoing basis to specific families in the community.
In addition to the above community services, our aim and desire is to expand our outreach ministries to include:
· Family Enrichment Seminars
· Health Seminars (to include cooking and nutrition)
· Stop Smoking Programs
· Free Tax Preparation Services
· GED and Driver Education Classes
· Financial Wellness and Improvement Seminars
Our long-term goal is to develop a tutoring and learning center to serve this community.
